Specialist support for driven, psychologically-minded individuals navigating burnout and trauma. Support for you

Many of my clients describe themselves as:

  • Deeply driven: You’ve achieved a lot, but you feel like you’re running on an empty tank.

  • Analytical & psychologically minded: You want to understand the why behind your feelings, but "talking it out" hasn't quite shifted the heavy weight in your chest.

  • Natural caregivers: You are often a "people-pleaser" who finds it easier to care for others than to give space for your own needs.

  • Functioning but exhausted: On the outside, you look like you have it all together. On the inside, you are navigating the "stuck" echoes of burnout or past trauma.

EMDR: A brain-based approach to recovery

EMDR works with how your brain stores information. Understanding why we feel the way we do is important, but that knowledge alone doesn't tame the physical symptoms of anxiety, or the drain of burnout. EMDR works with how your brain stores information. It helps us move from knowing to feeling different.

It is a structured, evidence-based (and admittedly weird) way to "reprogram" the way our brain holds onto things. It’s particularly effective for processing traumatic events, and taking the heat out of emotionally-loaded memories that keep us stuck in unhelpful cycles.

I offer a warm, supportive space for in-person EMDR in Cumbria, as well as online sessions across the UK.
